MAP2PDF is a family of solutions customers use to create GeoPDF files, the PDF-based geospatial distribution format pioneered by TerraGo Technologies.

MAP2PDF leverages the ubiquitous Adobe portable document formatting standard to allow customers to convert maps from popular geographic information systems into user friendly GeoPDF files that can be widely distributed and used by virtually anyone with access to Adobe Reader.

GeoPDF makes complex geospatial data readily available and easy to use in an interface most people are already familiar with and working with maps is simple. Geospatial professionals simply create a map using the MAP2PDF version of their choice and export the data to a GeoPDF file. Once users receive files, they are able to view then and use a variety of mapping functions as well as Adobe features to query attributes, create redlines and notes and even attach files or images. Updates can be incorporated back into the GIS so that everyone benefits from the most accurate information available.

GeoPDF files can be emailed, posted to the internet or distributed on CD for easy viewing with Adobe reader. MAP2PDF includes advanced security options such as 128-bit encryption and public-private key encryption ensuring that only the people who need to know have access to mapping data.
