HitachiHSGT is continually pioneering new CAD and GIS solutions for customers in the utility, telecommunication, and government sectors. HSGT solutions combine imagery and vector data products, award-winning automatic vectorization software, and open systems based Open GIS Consortium and industry standards.
HSGT has developed innovative solutions to help companies maximize their potential through spatial information:
- Any*GIS
Any*GIS is an enterprise GIS platform that allows integration and dynamic updating of multiple GIS data sources without time-consuming compatibility and translation issues.
Any*GIS is Open GIS conformant and supports access to proprietary data formats including Autodesk, ESRI, Intergraph, MapInfo, Oracle, and Smallworld formats.
It also serves as an Internet-based enterprise GIS framework, serving GIS and CAD data over the web.
- The Image Series
The Image Series advanced raster management, vectorization, and editing tools streamline creation and manipulation of GIS-ready vector data. Designed specifically for use with AutoCAD Releases 14 through 2002, the Image Series modules provide users capabilities for image editing, line tracing, text and line recognition, and symbol recognition.
The Image Series 6.0 suite contains four powerful software modules to improve the raster-to-vector conversion process: Image Edit, Image Tracer, AutoTLX, and AutoSymbol. For specific information on each product, click the product name on the left menu.
GIS Services provides two easy ways to try the Image Series modules before purchase:
On-line Demonstrations and Trial Copies
On-line demonstrations of Image Series modules are conducted on the second Wednesday of every month. The web demos are free of charge and provide a hands-on understanding of the Image Series software capabilities through on-line interaction with HSGT technical support personnel. You can even send your own sample files to be used during the demonstration.
To register for the next web demo or to request at 15-day trial copies, please contact
Bill Timmins.
The Image Series modules can be sold as a bundled full-functioning suite or as individual software pieces for users with specific, limited needs. Volume and educational discounts are available.
- HouseDiff
Out-of-date data is only slightly better than no data at all. The ability to track change is critical to maintaining the usefulness of GIS data.
HouseDiff is an automated data maintenance service that is so economical you can afford to update your data on a regular basis - and still save money over existing methods.
HouseDiff facilitates data discovery and maintenance by accurately pinpointing structures that have changed since the last discovery. When you need accurate and up-to-date building data, you need HouseDiff.
Maintain More Accurate Building Data
HouseDiff compares your existing vector footprints to vector data generated from recent aerial/satellite imagery. Changes to building structure, area, or position are automatically flagged for verification and analysis.
Don't Have Existing Building Footprints?
While HouseDiff was designed as a change detection tool, HSGT can also combine its capabilities with other services to assist agencies in creating a new building footprint layer.
- FeatureXTR
FeatureXTR is the fastest and easiest way to extract features from satellite and aerial imagery. Designed to make more intelligent use of imagery, FeatureXTR eliminates tedious heads-up digitizing of features such as roads, buildings, water bodies, and vegetation by automatically creating vector data in standard GIS and CAD formats.
Comprehensive image tools support geopositioned panchromatic, multi-spectral, and false-color, 8 and 11 bit imagery. Robust feature identification tools allow color/tone selection within the entire file or a specified region. Powerful clean-up tools perfect the identified features, and automatic vectorization tools save vector boundaries for export and use in most GIS software packages.
Features:
- Feature identification by means of global and regional edge-detection
- Variable color/tone threshold and free-hand addition/removal of data
- Perfecting tools for hole filling, despeckling, line smoothing, thickening, and thinning
- Layer support to create, sort, and merge layers
- Automatic vectorization by layer
- View controls for zoom, pan, and window
Formats Supported:
- Imagery Formats: 8 and 11 bit panchromatic, 24 and 32 bit multi-spectral, and false color
- File Formats: geopositioned TIF, BMP, JPEG, GIF, and PNG
Output Formats: DXF, SHP, and monochromatic image
